I am a 7th Grade homeroom and religion teacher, and 7th and 8th grade math teacher. Previously, I worked as an actuarial analyst for a management consulting firm in Chicago, and taught high school math in central Illinois and in a western suburb.
I received a bachelor’s degree in Teaching of Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and started teaching Middle School students at St Joe’s in December 2003. I have been blessed to work in such a supportive, caring environment with wonderful staff and families.
My Husband and I have three children. I enjoy spending time with them, their children and dogs, our extended families, and friends, hiking, working math problems, and softball.
Interested St. Joe students will have the opportunity to compete at local Catholic high schools in math contests and scholastic bowls later this fall and winter. I look forward to the challenges and rewards the students experience learning new math concepts throughout the year.
