I’m excited to join St. Joseph School this year! I’m originally from Washington, D.C. and have also lived in Colorado (where I met my husband), Montana (where we worked on a Native American reservation), and Arizona (where it’s just too hot). I’m so glad to be back east where I especially look forward to the beautiful colors of fall. My husband is originally from Wheaton and now teaches at Montini, so between the two of us we have about 180 children.
I attended Georgetown University and earned my bachelor’s in psychology. While I can’t read students’ minds, I do enjoy helping middle schoolers navigate their way into a successful high school experience. I have also completed an M.Ed. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from the University of Mary.
My most serious responsibility as a Catholic school teacher is helping parents form their children in becoming saints. This consists in being a joyful and caring witness to my students, insisting on virtuous behavior inside and outside of the classroom, and allowing my students the freedom to enter into an intimate relationship with God. Ad majorem Dei gloriam.
