IT Network and Hardware Administrator

Summary: Experienced network and hardware administrator needed for private school and parish offices. St. Joseph School has 24 classrooms, with approximately 380+ students and 32 school employees. The Parish offices and church have 14 Parish employees.

Scope of duties include:

  • assigning user logins and passwords
  • networking support: wired and wireless troubleshooting
  • managing user devices: provisioning, administration, troubleshooting and repair
  • managing classroom hardware: interactive panels, document cameras, video streaming
  • managing printers/copiers and print services
  • coordinating with software support person when managing domains, users, and devices
  • determining when to call in tech vendors (Midco, CDWG, Konica/Minolta) for assistance
  • negotiating and managing new projects as needed with vendors

Required Competencies include comprehensive experience with:

  • Google Suite for Education
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Promethean Interactive Whiteboards
  • Epson Document Cameras
  • Video Streaming
  • Multi-VLAN Network Architecture
  • Mitel Phone System and Mitel Management Software
  • Remote Tech Support Software

Candidates must:

  • demonstrate ability to write and communicate clearly to teachers, students, parents, and staff
  • keep network, software, and hardware settings documented as changes are made
  • be flexible with work hours – certain times of year call for more attention than others
  • be flexible with time – some work must be performed after-hours and on-call status – issues happen on nights and weekends
  • be on-site daily: while some items can be done remotely, this position primarily requires daily M-F on-site presence

Position is part-time with potential to become full-time.
